Nestled near the Frederic Mares Museum, the 5-star Lamaro Hotel Barcelona offers a banquet hall for gatherings and meetings. Situated about a 5-minute walk from the Gothic Quarter, this Barcelona hotel features an à la carte restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine.

The smoke-free hotel is located a mere 1 km from the superyacht marina "Port Vell" and 2.6 km from the national museum "Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya". The Lamaro gives access to the Picasso Museum, which is merely 7 minutes' walk away.

The hotel was clean. It was also stylish. The rooftop bar offered drinks and tapas. Access to it was free for hotel guests, and there was no queue. The staff was attentive, they noted my wife's birthday, and a surprise cake was in the room with a handwritten letter. We also got a complimentary transfer service to the airport at check-out. This saved us money and time.

The reception staff could be more friendly. This seems to be a general pattern throughout all of Spain. I think training on hospitality would solve the problem.

I loved the staff. They were VERY helpful and courteous. The location is fantastic for attractions, dining, and shopping. The rooftop bar offers the BEST view of the city skyline and the cathedral.

The hotel felt a bit dated. The service could use some improvement, I THINK. My bathroom wasn't great at all. The shower took a long time to heat up. The rainfall shower head caused some flooding in the bathroom
